olala! French courses in Chamonix. Françoise Rey-Franco is a French tutor in Chamonix in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France offering French courses to students from around the world. I offer "tête-à-tête" (intensive) and "face à face" (extensive) French classes. Both are totally "tailor-made" to your individual needs and requirements. My aim is to help you to feel comfortable in French society. I teach students of all ages and levels - adults, teenagers or children. You can take private lessons or classes in very small groups.

I want you to be as happy to learn as I am happy to teach. We work together as a team.I never forget that the main goal of learning a new language is communication. I respect the recommandation of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for languages) which describes what a learner at each level is supposed to be able to do in reading, listening, speaking and writing. Oral communication is a priority. It doesn't mean we ignore the grammar!

About Me:
I graduated with a Masters in Language Sciences from the Stendhal University of Grenoble, specialising in French as a foreign language. As an independant teacher, I collaborate with the language schools of the region, especially in Chamonix and Megève, but I have my own small structure wich is called Olala. I am also a published author and was the creator and managing editor of a magazine for teenagers. I have been living in Chamonix since 1993, after moving here from Paris, two years after the release of my fisrt book Crash au mont Blanc, which demanded extensive research and brought me into close contact with the local population of Chamonix valley. SInce then, I have continued to work on the identity of the valley. A very rich and fascinating story ... made by people coming from all over the world: mountaineers, scientists, businessmen, engineers, writers, painters, moviemakers, musicians... all inspired by the tallest mountain in Europe.
