Crossroads Schools - a "Unique Concept in Christian Education" - was founded in the Jacksonville FL area to provide a Faith-Based education to K-12 students with varying backgrounds, needs, and goals. Our schools are conveniently located in Arlington and Orange Park. Our mission is to help parents develop the character of their children by nurturing and teaching respect and responsibility through its family-like program.

Crossroads School uses curriculum and supplements from State of Florida-recognized textbooks. However, we apply our Christian World-View to all textbooks and curriculum. Our curriculum offers a hands-on, active learning approach that is easily adapted to individual learning needs and styles. Students take seven academic subjects per year. Our specific courses parallel the State of Florida’s requirement for graduation. We aim for each student to be successful and get the skills necessary to graduate and go on to college or work.
Grading System:
Progress reports are issued every mid-marking period. Progress reports are also given at report time for any grades below “C”. Report cards are mailed home every quarter. The quarter grade for each subject is determined by averaging grades (Based on the student’s progress in performing on functioning level):
1/3 = participation / effort
1/3 = classwork
1/3 = tests / projects
The school grading scale is:
A…90 – 100%
B…80 – 89%
C…70 – 79%
D…60 – 69%
F…00 – 59%
S… Satisfactory (Elementary- some subjects)
N… Needs Improvement (Elementary- some subjects)
I… Incomplete
Grades “A-F” are assigned on the basis of individual academic progress. Incomplete grades may be issued to students whose work is not complete because of absences or other extenuating circumstances. Incomplete grades “I” must be made up by the next grading period. Each teacher will determine exact due dates for make-up work based on individual situations.
Any grade can be improved by additional work assignments successfully completed within 3 weeks after the grading period. Students who fail the final grading period may be required to attend summer school to receive course credit.
Summer School and tutoring are also available.
