We offer one day culinary classes as well as either a fun filled 2 and 4 days or a full week stay at the country farm"la volpe e l'uva" in the heart of Umbria. Learn to cook authentic Italian dishes in an informal and friendly environment where you will learn the passion of the Italian kitchen and have fun doing it. The Umbrian cuisine is incredibly rich and varied, famed for its heady olive oil; the wines are among the best produced in Italy.

We will teach you to make splendid Italian four course lunches / dinners covering all the basic Italian cooking techniques. Recipes vary according to the season, utilizing only the freshest ingredients available and providing you with a deeply individual Italian experience. The cooking teacher is native Umbria and speak English so understanding won't be a problem.

Our cooking classes begin at approximately 10.00 a.m. and are generally about 3 - 4 hours long and include the preparation of a multi-course meal, which you enjoy with wine at the end of the lesson.

Our programs include accomodation, cooking classes, half-day tours and meals. You will deal with the professionalism of people in an informal and friendly environment. Our approach to cooking can be wrapped up in three words - simple, seasonal, and local. Our recipes come from the Mediterranean tradition, especially from Central Italy. Our programs are very flexible and people interested can ask for changes, i.e. the length of the vacation, the number of cooking lessons and the number and type of excursions.

Our aim is to provide a holiday during which people can live in a nice and comfortable apartment surrounded by Umbrian hills, discover the secrets of our traditional cooking and enjoy of the artistic richness of our wonderful region!

Cooking Tours:

Our cooking tours include visits to well-known cities in Umbria and Tuscany such as Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Todi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Norcia, Siena, Cortona, Arezzo, e Montalcino but also to many less frequented towns and villages off the usual tourist itinerary.

The programs include half-day trips and wine tour to taste extra virgin olive oils, truffle, pecorino cheese, Chocolate, Umbrian and Tuscan wines and to visit the some artistic cities in Umbria and Tuscany.
