Shane Global Language Centres offer English courses for adult students in our accredited English schools in Central London and Hastings, UK. Hastings is only 1.5 hours drive from central London and less than an hour from Brighton. Our English language courses include General English, private English lessons and preparation for the IELTS & TOEIC exams. In addition to our year-round English courses for adults, we offer a Teenage Activity Program in Hastings during the summer months.

Class Levels:
Elementary; Pre-Intermediate; Intermediate; Upper Intermediate; Advanced. Please note that we do not offer classes for beginners.

Placement Test:
The schools use a standard placement test to place you into the appropriate level. Some visa students who need to prove their level of English for their Tier 4 Full Student Visa, can take our level placement test before arrival. We will mark the test and publish your English level on the Visa Letter sent to you with all the necessary enrolment documents. You will still have to take an oral test on your first day at school.

Course Certificates:
All students who successfully complete their course are awarded an official certificate indicating length and type of course. Students are also given a final written report from academic staff, if requested.

The main emphasis of our classes is on practical oral communication to help you develop fluency and confidence. Our teachers will help you to achieve your goals with a help of a course book and supplemented with extra materials such as games, role playing, newspapers and non-print media to make classes fun, interactive and imaginative.

Our teachers aim to meet your needs in each particular class. Course books are supplemented to reflect your interests and to incorporate authentic, topical materials. Generally, the focus is upon oral communication, in response to the class' demand. You have lots of opportunity in class to speak English, to work on the skills that you need outside of the classroom and to become more confident in English. You will also have opportunities to practise all other skills, grammatical structures and vocabulary.

Our London English school is located in Central London, next to Bond Street Station and the famous shopping area of Oxford Street and Mayfair. However, it has the added advantage of being in a quiet pedestrian street with lots of classy bars, cafes and restaurants.

Classes are only part of the English experience. London is one of the most exciting, cosmopolitan cities in the world and offers a year-round calendar of social and cultural activities to students. Shane Global London makes sure all students benefit from the activities London has to offer and our social programme is designed for students to enjoy both free and low-cost excursions. England has a fantastic variety of cultural, sporting and musical events for you to enjoy, and we can even help you to book excursions to other UK and European cities.

Hastings is a town and Borough on the Southeast coast of England, in East Sussex. Our English school in Hastings is ideal for students who prefer to study in a small coastal town. Not everyone wants to live amongst the hustle and bustle of the capital city. Hastings is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is only an hour and a half from central London and less than an hour from Brighton. The train station is 5 minutes from the school with trains running directly to London and Brighton.

The Hastings school is in a large, impressive Victorian terrace overlooking the gardens in Warrior Square and the seafront with wonderful views of the square and the beach from many classrooms. The building may be large but the atmosphere is personalised and friendly.

Our school is located next to the beach. In summertime our students spend their leisure time on the beach. Along the shoreline of a sea, there are different ways to relax. After playing volleyball or jogging on the beach you can watch the wonderful sunset. The spirit of the sea gives you the feeling of being on holiday, while you are improving your English.

We offer the following types of accommodation in London:

- Standard Host Family: A "normal" family house or flat located 30-45 minutes from school

- Executive Host Family: A family offering a higher level of accommodation, maybe with TV in the bedroom, maybe with private bath, often located closer to the school.

- Student House: A private house for students to share. These houses have single and shared rooms. Some rooms have shared bathrooms, some have private bathrooms. All have kitchens with cooking facilities. Most have a living room and some also have a garden.

- Student Residence: Student residences are located in zone 1 and 2 of central London. Students can book single or shared rooms. Minimum booking = 2 weeks. In London, both our Host Family and Residential accommodation is organised through an agency.

We offer the following types of accommodation in Hastings:
At Hastings School we offer Standard Host Family accommodation and student residence during the Summer.

For UK schools, non-EU students will only be allocated accommodation once we have received confirmation that they have been issued their student visa. Please inform the school as soon as the visa has been issued. If a student arrives in the middle of the week, we cannot guarantee that we can find them a room. They may have to find their own accommodation until the following weekend. Shared room in host families is only available for 2 students arriving and leaving at the same time.
