Pre-sessional Course in English:
This course is aimed at those whose first language is not English and who have a conditional offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the University of Warwick requiring them to attend the course or recommending that they do so. It is also designed for those who need to acquire useful study skills in English before commencing their studies. The course focuses on English for academic purposes and also helps students to adjust to life in Britain.

Pre-Requisite English Programme:
This course is designed for graduate students from overseas. It is suitable for students who plan to enter British universities for postgraduate study. The course is taught by qualified, experienced teachers in English language, who have taught in Higher Education in many parts of the world as well as in Britain.

Although most students attend for 9 months, they may also be accepted for 3 months (starting in April) or 6 months (starting in January). The course aims primarily to increase students' ability to use the English language for academic and social purposes, but in addition students are introduced to aspects of British life and culture, and prepared for work in their specific subject field.
