Montessori Early Learning Center:
The Montessori Early Learning Center and School of the Arts, is the largest, oldest and most established Montessori school in Columbia, South Carolina offering programs to children from 3-6 years. Founded July 15, 1976 MELC offers the full spectrum of the Montessori environment in the purest European tradition. All teachers are European trained and our diplomas are considered by Federal guidelines as the foreign equivalent of a Master's degree.

Day Care Programs for 3 - 6 year olds:
Entry age into the school is between 30 and 40 months. Children older than 3 1/2 are not elibgible for admission unless transferring from another accredited Monessori school or elementary gifted program. In addition to giving the highest level of Montessori education, our parents enjoy top notch child care and access to our in house dance, music, art, drama, gymnastics, computer and foreign language classes. This saves our parents both time and money as their child's art activities are completed before they are picked up from school.

MELC has a 3 acre commercially equipped playground that is developmentally appropriate for children ages 3 to 6 years of age.

In partnership with Engineering for Kids, the museum offers a variety of 1-week day camps that focus on combining engineering and science with fun for all campers.

Each week, the camp days will be broken down into morning and afternoon sessions. Full-day and half-day options are available. Convenient for kids from Darlington, Lee, Lexington, Richland, and Sumter Counties.

• Adirondack Learning Academy (ALA) is an NCAA-approved and NISAC-accredited online homeschool provider.

• We deliver comprehensive online courses to kindergarten, elementary school, middle school & high school students in Tennessee and throughout the United States.

• At ALA, we offer Advanced Placement (AP) classes, college entrance assistance, and summer classes. Students are also welcome to take single classes. Access to our online courses is available 24/7.

• Our Acellus Curriculum provides individualized programs to suit all students and learning styles. On successful graduation, high school seniors are awarded a college preparatory academic diploma.
