Northside Catholic Academy:
Northside Catholic Academy (NCA) is the official, Catholic parish school of six Catholic parishes in three Northside Chicago neighborhoods in Cook County, IL: Andersonville, Edgewater and Rogers Park. Northside Catholic Academy has two campuses which are both located in the Edgewater neighborhood, approximately 7 miles north of the Loop. Our Primary School Campus (PreK-5) is located at 6216 N. Glenwood, Chicago, IL 60660, and our Middle School Campus (6-8 and PreK), 5525 N. Magnolia, Chicago, IL 60640. We have an outstanding retention rate - 97% of our Kindergarten through to 8th graders continued on at NCA from last year.

Curriculum:
Schoolwide learning expectations in each content area unite the Northside Catholic Academy curriculum. This means that at graduation, students will have received instruction, experienced activities, and demonstrated competencies in each of the schoolwide goals. Each grade level’s curricular outline delineates specific, age appropriate skills that ultimately lead to the achievement of the major outcomes. As a result, at every grade level students work in a progressive manner to acquire knowledge and learn skills which are inter-related and which build upon one another.
At NCA, students study five major content areas at every grade level. These are Religion, Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. Special classes in Physical Education, Music, Visual Arts, Computer Technology, and Spanish Language are also offered in many grade levels.

The British School of Chicago (BSC), located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago in Cook County, Illinois, is a co-educational, college preparatory, accredited day school offering Nursery School to Year 13 (Pre-K to Grade 12) programs. The Paintbrush, Chicago
Courses / Programs
The Paintbrush, opened in 2005, is a children's art studio owned by sisters Melanie and Mindy Apel in Lakeview on the North Side of Chicago, Cook County, IL. At The Paintbrush, kids do more than just paint. Starting at 18 months old, kids learn about famous artists, listen to music and create their own inspired works of art and projects inspired by the artists' styles. The Paintbrush offers a selection of classes geared to different ages along with workshops and summer camp. Classes are ongoing, so kids can join anytime.
The mission of The Paintbrush is to introduce young children to the wonderful world of art. The main goal is to teach kids to love art and have an understanding of the artists they study and whose works inspire their own creations.
Art Classes for Children Ages 18 months to 8 years:
- Tiny Artists: 18 months - 4 years (parent / tot interaction)
- Apprentices: 3-4-years with participting parent (45 minutes)

Elgin Academy, chartered in 1839, is an independent, co-educational college preparatory day school located in Elgin, a suburb approximately 40 miles north-west of Chicago. Most of Elgin lies within Kane County, with a portion in Cook County, Illinois. The Einstein Academy is a school for academically talented students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through to High School located in Elgin, a suburb approximately 40 miles north-west of Chicago in Kane County in north-eastern Illinois, close to Naperville and Aurora (One block south of I-90 and Route 31 on Davis Road in Elgin). Our accelerated curriculum is taught one year in advance, but our children our encouraged to learn at the level that most challenges their minds.
