Our campuses are conveniently located throughout the Coachella Valley in Cathedral City, Palm Springs and La Quinta in Riverside County. Each child will be academically prepared and socially adjusted to face the challenges in the elementary school years.
At First School of the Desert, we maintain a six to one ratio (children / teacher) in our toddler classes (18 months), and a 12 to one ratio in all preschool classrooms, so every child gets the personal and individual attention required. With high but realistic standards, our program is designed to give your child a solid academic foundation. In a stimulating and creative atmosphere, the small class size will encourage your child to listen, learn and interact with our skilled staff, with each class being tailored for your child’s specific age.

Small Fry Dance Club offers a preschool dance program in Foster City in San Mateo County, CA. Our dance program is designed to give young students a survey style class that covers basics in tap, ballet, jazz, creative movement, and yoga. Our goal is to help each student find a place for dance in their life. No matter what the degree of each child's dance goals, discovering movement should be nothing but empowering. Through dance, Small Fry teaches children to be creative, physically fit, flexible, confident, and artistic.Small Fry Dance Club was founded by Jana Chapeton in early 2007. We have had 1,000 plus students come through the program at over 20 different schools. We have also been nominated as "Best Dance School" by Best of The Bay TV (2009).
All of our teachers have extensive education and experience teaching dance, performance, and motor skills to preschool and school age students. Twice a year, Small Fry dancers have the chance to participate in our company performances. Our shows are a great chance for the dancers to gain experience performing, while sharing their progress in weekly dance class with friends and family.

We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm with a special early bird program that opens as early as 7:00 am. There are full time, part time, and half-day programs available. Through developmentally appropriate practice, our program provides for a variety of experiences, levels of difficulty, and pacing.
