Corte Madera Montessori is a private Montessori School devoted to the education of Pre-Primary, Primary and Kindergarten children (ages 2-5 years) in Corte Madera in Marin County in the North San Francisco Bay Area. We base our philosophy and programs on the pioneering work of Dr. Maria Montessori. Through careful observation of how a child learns, she developed educational materials designed to assist children to reach their full potential of self-confidence and independence. Dr. Montessori’s methods follow and inspire the natural enthusiasm children have for learning.

Corte Madera is located 3.25 miles south of San Rafael, CA.

Indoor & Outdoor Space:

- Many windows and sky lights fill the spacious hexagon classrooms with natural light. Each room has an attached outdoor extended classroom and gardens that add a lively compliment to the indoor work areas.

- The large, well equipped playground and field provide plenty of room for twice-daily recess with Frisbees, balls, parachutes and games.

Bay Area School of Enterprise (BASE) is a Charter Public School located on Third Street in Alameda, CA. The first youth-initiated charter high school in the country, BASE provides an environment in which youth take ownership of their own learning and change their own lives as they change the community around them.

BASE's approach to education, Enterprise Learning, is a developmental approach that integrates youth development practices, experiential education, constructivism, and traditional college preparatory learning.
