Bachelor of Science in Business Administration:
When you come to the School of Management, you're working toward the degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and your major is Business Administration and Management. SMG students select a concentration from among ten managerial disciplines:

Students also have several additional academic options available to them including minors, independent studies, study abroad opportunities and the option of pursuing a dual degree.

Unlike most schools, you begin your management training the first semester of freshman year. On your first day of class, you'll begin 'decoding' an annual report. Right away, you'll start talking business. By the end of freshman year, you will know more than juniors in most other programs.

By junior year, you'll write a full business plan for a product you and your classmates will research and propose. You'll have skills that will give you a leg up, first in interviews, then on the job. Plus, you'll do all this in the School's state-of-the-art building.

Through the Management Honors Program, a select group of outstanding students will have the opportunity to develop into a generation of management leaders. The School of Management curriculum is balanced between a core of requirement courses and a broad variety of electives. Our aim is to develop competence with flexibility. It is important to understand that, in the School of Management, we do not solely count credits towards the degree; instead, we count courses. Students must complete 33 courses. Summer coursework or outside credits may alter the number of courses students need to take or the length of time necessary to complete requirements.

SMG Honors Program:
Beginning in 1998, the School of Management Honors Program has invited the most academically talented freshmen and sophomores to join a program which offers unique and challenging opportunities.

The goals of the program are:
- to offer students an extraordinary opportunity to create, innovate, and make a difference in the world around them
- to offer through specialized colloquia and seminars an opportunity to work closely with leading faculty
- to promote additional skills in management research, analytical reasoning, and written communication that complement the professional courses in management as well as the solid grounding in the liberal arts

Executive Masters in Business Administration:
Unique—and Global—Approach

Boston University’s Executive MBA program (EMBA) is designed for mid-to-senior level managers with 10+ years of professional experience. The program focuses on Management as a System, a cross-functional understanding of the interdependencies among organizations’ components. It also offers a strong international component, which is woven into the curriculum in a real and compelling way through the unique global capstone project.

And throughout the entire program, participants learn from Boston University School of Management's world-class faculty, as well as through a speaker series featuring global industry leaders.

Highly Integrated Curriculum:
An accelerated course of study allows you to earn your MBA while you work—in only 18 months. The program begins in January and concludes in June of the following year, encompassing the following highly integrated components:

- Four Modules, occurring on Fridays and Saturdays every other week for 18 months
- Four week-long residential sessions at approximately six month intervals, including one international session
- The Capstone Project, involving creating an international business plan

Masters in Investment Management:
Today's investment management professionals need more sophisticated management practices and professional training. Graduates need rigorous analytical training and practical understanding beyond that offered in general business programs.
The MS in Investment Management program is designed to meet this need.

The program trains students in leading-edge theory and practice in the field of investment management. Students gain expertise in the design, management, and marketing of investment products.

Doctor of Business Administration:

Management education must impart the skills required to respond to technological changes, the information revolution, global competition, and constant shifts in political and social environments. Many of the management models adopted by business are outdated, and call for innovative ideas rooted in solid academic research.

Boston University’s DBA program addresses this need by training scholars to develop and sharpen management theories to enhance their contribution to management education and practice. Students acquire advanced knowledge of literature and theory in their area of specialization, the major, as well as solid grounding in a minor, for example, a social science discipline, such as sociology, economics, or political science, that provides a foundation for their area of specialization.
