Who should consider the Cornell Accelerated MBA?
The most successful graduates of our one-year Accelerated MBA (formerly the twelve-month option) have clearly defined career paths, often returning to work on the business side of their technical or scientific organizations.
Ideal candidates for the Accelerated MBA have:
- a Master's or Doctoral degree in a technical, scientific, or other quantitative field,
- strong quantitative skills,
- relevant work experience, and
- demonstrated leadership skills.
- On the other hand, those interested in making a significant change in industry or career path may be better served by the Johnson School's two-year MBA program. Its semester-long immersion and full summer internship can add invaluable preparation for such transformations.
Accelerated MBA program is an excellent, cost-effective way to prepare talented employees for broader leadership responsibilities and future advancement. Some companies pay all or part of tuition and expenses.
