Sunny Skies Preschool:
With school locations throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan, Sunny Skies Preschool offers a nurturing, carefully-structured educational environment for young children. Sunny skies preschool started off as a childhood dream of its Educational Director, Margarycel Nunez. As a child in the Dominican Republic, she always gathered her friends and stuffed animals for some ‘school-house play’, as years progressed that fantasy became a reality. At the young age of fifteen, just having been in America for two years, she was appointed to be an in-classroom tutor for a learning disabled student in her High School, FDR in Brooklyn.
We strive to teach the whole child at all times and make every moment a learning experience not only for the children in attendance but for the families as well, we all become involved to benefit the children. In Sunny Skies Preschool we take pride in our tradition of excellence for the families we serve.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to educate the whole child by integrating high academics with ethics and socialization. We give all children that come to us the tools they will need beyond their preschool experience, both in their future at school as well as in their personal relationships, understanding the impact that we can have in children’s lives and making every moment into a teachable experience.
Our unique A.V.L.E. (Advancement Via Life Experience) program gives students the opportunity to experience things that happen every day and making those events learning experiences. The core of the curriculum has a “me and the world” approach, which teaches that everyone is valuable and that we can all make a differences in our world. Reading, writing, math, comprehensive skills and social awareness makes A.V.L.E. academically advanced as well.

EL TALLER LATINO AMERICANO (The Latin American Workshop) is a non-profit arts and education organization in New York City. We offer year round art and music workshops for children. El Taller also has a 22-year history of being the musical home in New York for musicians from all over the Americas. Our Artistic Director Bernardo Palombo is a composer, performer and impresario who has brought some of the greatest names in American music to El Taller including: Mercedes Sosa, Philip Glass, David Byrne, Leon Gieco, Atahualpa Yupanqui and many more. At our art classes, children can enjoy engaging in different techniques and processes while exploring their own abilities and aesthetic. Different processes that are explored include painting, drawing, sculpture, collage and multimedia projects. Our music classes which take place at our center or your school or other choice of location bring the room to life, with exciting instruments from different countries of South America including learning the instruments, rhythms and dances of the Peruvian coast.

Mandell School is a co-educational institution for Toddlers through the Eighth Grade located on Manhattan's Upper West Side. We are committed to providing a nurturing educational environment for children and their families, which through intellectual stimulation and emotional support, enable them to become responsible, active citizens of the world. Mandell School curriculum is well balanced, exceptionally rigorous, yet flexible enough to allow for a range of leaning styles. Mandell uses both traditional and progressive approaches to teaching, incorporating use of manipulatives, collaboration and hands on experiential learning.
