Beauty Therapy:
LCBT offers NVQ Level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications in Beauty Therapy to give you an excellent foundation for your career in the Beauty Industry. You will achieve your goals in the minimum amount of time with the maximum efficiency and quality.
Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 3:
This programme is your passport to lifelong employment in the Beauty Industry. It is inten
ded for those who wish to work as a full Beauty Therapist and have competency in all facial and body treatments, including electrical treatments.
There is a considerable level of theory which includes anatomy and physiology. You are required to commit to at least three to five hours home study each week. Additional commercial salon sessions are held to ensure you maintain your skills once learned.

* Health & Safety and how to reduce risks in the workplace
* Promote additional services to clients
* Contribute to the financial effectiveness of a business
* Full body massage
* Face and body electrical treatments
* Full body massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
Diploma in Beauty Retail Consultancy Level 2:
The London College of Beauty Therapy would like to introduce you to the Diploma in Beauty Retail Consultancy Level 2.
Being a Beauty Retail Consultant can open a whole new world of opportunity for you. If you love selling, have great customer service skills and want to progress with one of the famous skincare and fragrance companies in this exciting and dynamic sector this is the course for you.
Whether you have sole responsibility for running the account within retail, or are part of a team in a Spa or on a cruise ship, being able to work under pressure and meet sales targets is an essential part of everyday life. You will also need to be able to give top level customer service and advice on skin and nail care, make-up, fragrances etc.
The BTEC Beauty Retail Consultant Diploma will develop your knowledge, sharpen your selling skills and provide a nationally recognised qualif
ication reflecting your experience and skills in the beauty sector.
The BTEC diploma Level 2 is a nationally recognised, Government funded qualification. It is focused on delivering excellent customer service and sales performance in addition to providing you with a best practice business standards and a higher commercial awareness of the beauty industry.
LCBT, as an approved training provider, is able to access funding and our training is currently FREE to the individual and the employer.
The course is delivered in the workplace over approximately 14 weeks, requiring no attendance at college or day release. It is delivered, supported and assessed by our qualified assessors who will look after you throughout the course from induction to completion – visiting you in store and supporting you via phone, email and text message. You will have a set of workbooks to complete - and a fantastic resource book to help you through the workbooks. The qualification can be handwritten or for those that prefer working on line – you can log into our e-portal and complete everything on line.

Health and Saftey Workshop:
In 2003, LCBT and the Learning Skills Council undertook at survey to examine the level of, 'Skills in the Beauty Industry'. This study highlighted a number of skills gaps.
This unit will cover:
* Current legislation for the health, safety and welfare of employees
* Employers’ responsibilities, risk assessment, policies and procedures.
The scope of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 covers “all persons” whether employers, employees - full and part time, self-employed individuals, contractors, and unpaid staff.

The employee will be more aware of safe practises which will benefit employers, clients and contribute to the overall safety of the business.
At the end of this session, all candidates will achieve the G1 NVQ Level 3 unit in this subject.

The Law & Regulations - How They Affect your Business
:
This unit is about checking what law and other regulations will affect your business. To do this you need to look at your business as a whole and make sure that you cover:
* How you can trade legally in the way that is best for your business
* How regulations and laws affect what you provide to clients and how you provide it
* The importance of getting up-to-date advice on the law and other regulations which affect your business.

Macclesfield Tutorial College has a proud history of helping students achieve their ambitions in whichever field of study they choose.
