Stockdale Christian Schools is an extension of the ministry of First Assembly of God Church, Bakersfield, CA. Our current enrollment includes 150 preschool students, over 700 students in grades K-8 and 90 students in our homeschool program.
Accreditations:
Stockdale Christian School is one of the few schools in Bakersfied that is accredited by both the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, the Association of Christian Schools International and the Commission on International and Transregional Accreditation. Accreditation is important to parents because it provides evidence that quality exists in its program.
Stockdale Christian is pleased with its superior record of maintaining its accredited status since 1984. It is our desire to provide the very best in Christian education.

Stockdale Christian Schools was conceived in the heart of Dr. Fred Cottriel (pastor) and the many concerned parents of First Assembly of God Church. Their desire was to see children trained in quality education with a strong Christian foundation. With the fervent conviction that God’s Word is the basis of all truth, Stockdale Christian Schools opened its doors in the Fall of 1977 with an enrollment of 63 students and a staff of three.
