Environment
The Institute offers an adequate learning environment. I chose a group class-type setting which is interactive instead of individual lectures which helped to bounce questions off (at least in my case I got a nice group, though this factor is entirely variable). The area is well air-conditioned .
Teachers and Lesson Quality
I only took up a Spanish course so I can’t say the same for other teachers, but my Spanish teacher showed adequate mastery in the language. She gave assignments and drills as well as some helpful tips. In terms of lesson pace, she doesn’t rush you to learn a sector of the language. She paces it so that the student can understands what he/she doesn’t “get”. She is also a nice teacher.
Lesson quality is “good” in the sense that basics and fundamentals are taught and applied constantly, but it requires much of the student’s output as well. Vocabulary for example is a broad in any language so the student has to be able to learn a good amount of words other than what the teacher lectures. Though my teacher was nice enough to translate a few words I wanted to know in Spanish, I still found myself going through a dictionary most of the time.
Overall, the school functions well, the student just needs to know what he/she really wants.
