Improv / Comedy Summer Programs in Los Angeles CA

Second City Hollywood:
The Second City is the leading brand in improv-based sketch comedy. Based in Hollywood CA, our training center provides 1 and 2-week comedy summer camp programs for kids and teens ages 8-18. All students are welcome and no previous experience is needed. At the end of the camp, invite your friends and family to a free show where you will show off your new improv, singing and sketch skills.

Comedy Summer Camps for Kids & Teens:
- Duration: 1-2 Weeks
- Ages 8-18

Camp will take place Monday through Friday 10:30am-4:30pm, for your choice of one week long camp or two week long camp duration. Camp is broken into three sections each day:

Musical Improvisation: 
An introduction to musical games and techniques. The class introduces students to vocal performance, production, and projection for the actor/improviser; the basics of comedic songwriting; and the fundamental concepts of musical improvisation. No singing experience is required. This is often the subject most feared at the start of camp and most loved by the end.

Sketch Comedy: 
Learn the basics of sketch comedy scenes, the building block of any Second City show. You’ll study classic Second City scenes, use improvisation to develop scenes and write original sketches.

Improvisation:
Explore the fundamentals of improvisation as taught and performed at The Second City. Develop skills like creative thinking, self-confidence, listening, brainstorming, team building, empathy and communication while having loads of fun and laughs.
