Master of Science in Alternative Medicine (MSA)
- Duration: 2,120 hours (1430 lecture hours, 690 clinical internship)

VUOM’s Master of Science in Acupuncture provides the foundations of Asian and western medical knowledge, while preparing the students for the rigors of practice management and office organization.

Our diverse course offerings and elective possibilities distinguish this program as one of the premiere programs offering an inspiring introduction to the world of Alternative Medicine.

Modules include:
- Acupuncture (590 hours)
- Bio Medical Science (520 hours)
- Management & Ethics (120 hours)
- Oriental Medicine (200 hours)


Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM)
- Duration: 3070 hours (2080 lecture hours, 990 clinical internship hours)

This course trains future practitioners of acupuncture and Oriental Medicine by empowering them through practice and knowledge in functioning as a primary, complementary, independent, or integrative healthcare provider.

The MSOM program enables our graduates to sit for the national acupuncture and Oriental Medicine licensing exam (NCCAOM).
