The Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design, Philadelphia:
The Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design (AWCoMAD), located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is one of the colleges of Drexel University. We offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in a wide range of programs, from Architecture to Digital Media, from Fashion Design to Music Industry, and from Graphic Design to Dance. The college, like others at Drexel, offers students the ability to go out on co-op though some programs are specifically designed for that particular area of study.
The Antoinette Westphal College’s twenty-two degree programs and twelve minors are intensive and studio focused. The basic philosophy in our teaching is that you will learn by doing. We do this by integrating hands-on studio education and experiential learning through co-op.

The Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design (The Westphal College) fosters the study, exploration and management of the arts: media, design, the performing and visual. We are a center for creativity that educates students to find their place as leaders in today’s rapidly-changing world by teaching them the diverse skills needed to conceptualize and implement creative thinking. The synergy of our seventeen degree programs, our strong foundation curriculum and diverse minors, and our stewardship of University assets and enterprises enhances the strength of our college in this interdisciplinary age.
The Leonard Pearlstein Gallery:
The Leonard Pearlstein Gallery is located in Nesbitt Hall in the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design at Drexel University. This unique architectural addition was designed by the firm of Sandvold/Blanda and was dedicated in 2002. Since its dedication, Pearlstein Gallery has been committed to exhibiting the work of local, national, and international contemporary artists and designers.
