Nuovo Centro Italiano, Seattle, WA:
Nuovo Centro Italiano is an Italian language resource center in Seattle, Washington focusing exclusively on Italian language instruction, translation and consultation. The staff is comprised of highly experienced native speakers who share many years of working as intercultural facilitators helping people in Washington State as well as Italy. We are a small, independent operation specializing in matters related to the Italian language. Our office is centrally located in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood on 15th Avenue East, a block north of Group Health hospital, near Volunteer Park.

Italian for Beginners:
In this class you will acquire basic vocabulary and idiomatic expressions. The grammar includes the study of pronunciation, the present tense, prepositions, common irregular verbs, numbers, and an introduction to possessive adjectives. You will learn to introduce yourself, describe people and things, and to carry on a simple conversation on a variety of topics.

Conversational / Advanced Italian Classes:
This class is open to those who have studied Italian for at least two years and are interested in reading and discussing articles on Italian current events. Grammar issues will be incorporated as the opportunity arises.

Private Italian Programs:
A private Italian program is a custom class, tailored to your specific goals. It is based on your interests and proficiency, whether you are a beginner or a more advanced speaker of Italian.

Italian for Travelers:
Enhance your travel experience and increase your appreciation of Italian surroundings. Your instructors are Italian native-speakers, born and raised in Italy. This Italian class develops basic communications skills in a variety of common travel situations while also keeping in mind social and cultural nuances. It is conceived for those who need to express themselves in Italian on a short-term basis and cannot commit to a more time-consuming study of the language. It presents and teaches authentic Italian speaking patterns, providing enough knowledge to feel comfortable once in Italy.

As an alternative space, it offers affordable language instruction and small class sizes (8 -10 students per class), in downtown Seattle, WA. Each student’s development is followed closely. A strong grammatical foundation is established while discussing customs, traditions, travel information, food, wines and integrating personal interests/goals. A common cause of frustration in language acquisition is the lag-time between student/teacher interactions caused by large classes. A smaller class size allows more individual attention, less delay and allows students to address individual issues the moment they occur in his/her learning.

The Ideal School

The IDEAL School is a boarding school and an English Language school especially for students learning English, located in Washington State, on 20 beautiful acres in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. Seattle Japanese Language School

The Seattle Japanese Language School, part of the JCCCW (Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington), offers evening and summer Japanese classes for adults from beginner to advanced levels. The mission of the Seattle Japanese Language School is to give instruction in the Japanese Language augmented by the introduction of culture and history of Japan and to enhance the learning process. The Seattle Japanese Language School has a very proud history as the oldest operating Japanese language school in the continental United States. The Seattle Japanese Language School merged to become a part of the JCCCW in 2009.

UESL Program, Central Washington University
Courses / Programs
The University English as a Second Language (UESL) Program at Central Washington University (CWU) in Ellensburg, Washington, is located in the center of Washington State in the Northwestern US. Central Washington University is a public university with 8,000 students. Popular majors include business, accounting, education and music. Conditional undergraduate admission is offered and the UESL recommendation is accepted in place of the TOEFL. Interesting courses, opportunities to visit undergraduate classes, and experienced, professional teachers (all have master's degrees in teaching English). Ellensburg is a safe, friendly university town with many outdoor recreational activities just two hours from Seattle. Ellensburg has the Jazz in the Valley Festival and the Kittitas County Rodeo and Fair each year.

Dante Alighieri Society of Washington
Courses / Programs
In 1984, the Italian Language Program was successfully initiated in Seattle under the directorship of the local chapter of the Dante Alighieri Society. Since that year, the Italian Language Program of the Dante Alighieri Society of Washington has grown as the ideal place to learn Italian Language and Culture in Seattle. Our classes are held on the campus of Seattle University. However, the Dante Alighieri Society - Italian Language Program is a self-sustaining autonomous program independent of Seattle University.
Fall, Winter, and Spring quarter, four levels of Italian: introductory conversation, elementary, intermediate, and advanced. Each course begins in October and lasts thirty weeks (three quarters) except the introductory conversation course which is 10 weeks long and repeats. Classes meet twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
