Dante Alighieri Society of Washington:Established in 1984, the Italian Language Program of the Dante Alighieri Society of Washington has grown as the ideal place to learn Italian Language and Culture in Seattle. It is a self-sustaining autonomous program independent of Seattle University. Our classes are held on the campus of Seattle University.

Italian Courses / Programs:
Italian language classes for beginners, intermediate & advanced levels. The school year extends from late September or early October to June with a class break every 10 weeks. Each course begins in the fall and lasts 30 weeks (three quarters) except the introductory conversation course which is 10 weeks long and repeats. Classes meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings except the introduction to Italian course which meets on Tuesdays only.

The Washington Academy of Languages in Seattle, is a language school offering day and evening classes to students of all levels and abilities. Our German classes emphasize modern spoken German. From the first class meeting, students and instructors alike speak as much German as possible. Grammar is studied not as an exclusively abstract system, but as a reference base for active language use. The majority of classroom time is used speaking German, as opposed to talking about German in English. Culture is also an integral component of all our language courses and is presented through role play and activities while students are learning the language in communicative situations.

As an alternative space, it offers affordable language instruction and small class sizes (8 -10 students per class), in downtown Seattle, WA. Each students development is followed closely. UESL Program, Central Washington University
Courses / Programs
The University English as a Second Language (UESL) Program at Central Washington University (CWU) in Ellensburg, Washington, is located in the center of Washington State in the Northwestern US. Central Washington University is a public university with 8,000 students. Popular majors include business, accounting, education and music. Conditional undergraduate admission is offered and the UESL recommendation is accepted in place of the TOEFL. Interesting courses, opportunities to visit undergraduate classes, and experienced, professional teachers (all have master's degrees in teaching English).
