Philosophy:

The St. Andrews philosophy encompasses the whole child and each campus is small and exclusive by design. This allows the students to get to know all the staff in the school and our teachers are very aware of each child and their particular gifts. We place a great deal of emphasis on the development of social skills and the importance of valuing individual talents.

Aim:

We aim to provide a stimulating and positive learning environment for all children in our care. The curriculum is broad and balanced, encouraging active learners so children that take an important role in the growth of their own education. We strive to support the development of critical thinking skills through social and personal education, encouraging all children to become confident and responsible individuals.

Affiliations:

All St. Andrews schools are affiliated to the World Wide Education Service (WES) arm of the Centre for British Teaching CfBT in the UK. Each school is participating in the process of gaining external accreditation from WES and is visited annually by UK-based Inspectors.

Programs:

Early Years Program (Nursery, Kindergarten and Reception); Primary and Secondary School Program. We follow the British National Curriculum and accept students from 2yrs old (Nursery), Primary School through to 18yrs (Year 13) depending on which campus is selected. All Programs are taught in English.

Teachers:

The school has a team of highly qualified and well motivated staff. We have a cohesive team of teachers who know all the children in school. This leads to a very ‘close-knit’community, providing a safe secure environment for children to learn. At Sathorn, we want each child to be confident, happy and develop a real love of learning which will they will carry with them through life.

Our teachers are all are fully qualified native English speakers and are recruited for their special talent and enthusiasm for teaching using child centred approaches and come with a very wide range of professional experience.

Extra curricular activities:

The extra curricular activities are considered a most important aspect of what the school has to offer the children. The sessions enable students in mixed age groups to participate in activities of their choice to extend their learning. An additional fee is charged for some of the activities.

The Village International Education Centre in Central Bangkok, Thailand offers full-time and part-time special education programmes for children and young adults who have specific learning, language, motor and behavioural / emotional difficulties. The current age range of our students is between 5-20.
