Welcome to Sotogrande International School located in Sotogrande, San Roque, Cádiz in Andalusia, southern Spain, 90 kilometres west of Málaga airport and 20 kilometres east of Gibraltar. Location and Facilities:
The school is situated in a beautiful residential area of Andalucía with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounding countryside. Sotogrande is some 90 kilometres west of Málaga airport and 20 kilometres east of Gibraltar airport. It is considered one of the most scenic parts of the Costa del Sol coastline with its lush vegetation, picturesque marina and attractive coastline.
Boarding Life
At Sotogrande International school, the boarding house is primarily a home from home, a place of fun for IB students where there is always something going on!
The boarding staff are committed, friendly and professional individuals comprised of two dedicated boarding parents, assisted by a gap student, who are responsible for the happiness and welfare of the boarders something which is taken very seriously indeed. The happiness of the boarding house depends on the happiness of individual boarders and on the caring relationships that are built between the boarders themselves and the house parents.
The boarding house is relatively small and this enables staff to know and understand the students as individuals.The school offers both weekly and full boarding services which cover all of the things that parents would normally provide if they were available, including medical care with a nurse on site during school hours and access to a flying doctor service after school hours, help with homework activities (one of the boarding parents is an IB teacher), trips and activities and, of course, care and support in a family environment.
Accommodation:
SIS works hard to make the transition from home to the school as smooth as possible, especially if a child is coming from overseas. The accommodation in boarding is comfortable and pleasant and each student has their own room or shares with another student of the same age.
There is a communal area which consists of a large living room complete with sofas, a large plasma screen, video and dvd players; a small kitchen area where boarders can make their own drinks and toast etc and a study area complete with two internet ready computers. Students are encouraged to do their own laundry and there are washing and ironing facilities for their use.

From Málaga airport
On leaving the airport take the Cádiz direction. After approximately 2 kms. take the junction to the E15/A7 toll road to Algeciras - Cádiz. Leave the E-15/A-7 at exit 130 signposted to Castellar, Pueblo Nuevo de Sotogrande and Sotogrande. At the roundabout take the third exit to Castellar. The school is located on the right at the next roundabout 3 kms. along this road.
From Gibraltar airport and La Linea
Leave La Linea by the A383. Join the E-15/A-7 in the direction of Estepona/Málaga. Exit at junction 130 signposted to Castellar, Pueblo Nuevo de Sotogrande and Sotogrande. At the first roundabout take the last exit under the bridge. At the second roundabout take the second exit to Castellar The school is located on the right at the next roundabout 3 kms. along this road.
From San Roque and Algeciras
Take the E-15/A-7 in the direction of Estepona/Málaga. Exit at junction 130 signposted to Castellar, Pueblo Nuevo de Sotogrande and Sotogrande. At the first roundabout take the last exit under the bridge. From Cádiz and Jerez de la Frontera
Leave Cádíz by the N-443 and join the AP-4 in the direction of Jerez de la Frontera. Take exit 85 signposted Jerez Sur and Los Barrios and continue in the direction of Medina Sidonia and Algeciras. Take the A-381 to Algeciras, then join the E-15/A-7 in the direction of Estepona/Málaga. Exit at junction 130 signposted to Castellar, Pueblo Nuevo de Sotogrande and Sotogrande. Based in Barcelona, Spain, Kaptiva Sports Academy is an elite soccer school that specializes in offering year-round and summer soccer tours and soccer educational programs for boys (ages 12-18). In our year-round courses, participating players choose from full-year (10 months), half-year (6 months), or one week programs. Year-round students also enroll in our Education & Language Program in addition to their football training.
We also run Summer Soccer Camps for boys age 12-17 in collaboration with FC Barcelona.
