Southern Lakes English College in Queenstown, New Zealand, is a small, exclusive English as a Second Language school registered with the New Zealand Qualification Authority and is also an associate member of English New Zealand. General English:
Southern Lakes English College provides a fun, motivating communicative approach to English learning ensuring that students make excellent progress in all areas of English with a special focus on speaking & listening skills.
* The average class size is 7 or 8 with a maximum of 14 students per class.
* Morning classes develop speaking, liste
ning, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing skills in a communicative way.
* Afternoon classes concentrate on developing fluency and confidence in English with the aim to develop speaking and listening skills.
* Students are tested every week and advanced to higher levels as competence is attained at each class level.
* Monthly feedback reports are also given for students. This is in the form of a tutorial with the teacher and a written feedback from both student and teacher.
* A certificate of attendance and a final graduation report is awarded at graduation.
* We offer all levels from Beginner to Advanced.
* Courses run from January to December with a 2 week break around Christmas and New Year
* We have a wide variety of different nationalities from all over the world.
* Students improve quickly with our English only policy and extra-curricula activities after school

Southern Lakes English College is an offsite testing centre for the University of Otago Language Centre in Dunedin. Southern Lakes English College provides pathways to several schools, universities and polytechnics in New Zealand.
English Plus Skiing/Snowboarding:
Learn English in the morning and enjoy skiing/snowboarding in the afternoon. Southern Lakes specialises in English plus snowsports from June to September. We are ideally located close to Coronet Peak (20 mins' drive from the ski lifts) - Queenstown's top ski field and also near to the Remarkables, Snowpark, Cardrona and Treble Cone ski fields. We also provide English tuition for ski/snowboard instructor training, snowboard academy, train workers for the ski fields and also teach English to international racers from the international teams that train on the local ski fields. All transport to & from college and mountain is in buses.
English plus Skiing/Snowboarding courses provide morning English tuition followed by afternoon skiing or snowboarding 5 (option 1) or 3 (option 2) afternoons a week.
* Start every Monday between June and September inclusive
* Length of course is one week to full season
* Beginner to Advanced English and ski/snowboard skills

Language Studies International (LSI) Auckland, with two campuses in the centre of Auckland, on the north island of New Zealand, is part of the worldwide LSI group of English Language Schools.
