We provide Italian language courses for children including tutoring and tailor-made courses to suit all ages and levels. After 15 years of experience in teaching Italian as a second language to students from all over the world, we now open our courses to families. Our new programs are designed to engage, enrich and delight all generations.

About Us:

Discover Florence and the Italian language at the Scuola Toscana Family Club: While adults attend their course in Italian language with a certified teacher, the children can participate in our Italian language courses.

They can also enjoy a variety of age-appropriate activities in a safe environment with specially trained school personnel. Our Italian language courses open the doors for our students from all over the world, in order to get to know each other and their different cultures.

In the past 15 years, more than 8000 students have discovered the Italian culture at our Italian language school. Our classes consist of small groups, but we also cater for individuals offering private tuition courses.

Accreditation:

The Scuola Toscana is a member of:

- A.I.L (Accademia Italiana di Lingua) professional Association of schools, insititutions and experts in the field of teaching Italian as a Foreign Language. Scuola Toscana is a homologated examination center of AIL.

- ASILS (the Association of the Schools of Italian as a Second Language), recognised by Ministero degli Affari Esteri. As member of ASILS, Scuola Toscana is authorized to organise preparation courses for CILS Diplomas of Universita di Siena.

- Scuola Toscana is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education and we work under the patronate of the City of Florence.

- We received the Patronage Comune di Firenze in 1993 - ordinance 6197 of November 10th, 1993.

- We have courses recognised as "Bildungsurlaub" (professional training) by the German States of Schleswig Holstein, Rheinland Pfalz, Niedersachsen, Hamburg, Berlin, Brandenburg.

- Scuola Toscana is the Florentine branch of Oesterreich Institut, the official Austrian Institution for the diffusion of German language.

Experienced Instructors:

Our Italian teachers and instructors are highly experienced in Italian language tuition. All our teachers have degrees from the Italian University, are AIL certified and have completed training for teaching Italian as a second language to both children and adults.

The new facilities of Scuola Toscana are located in a "fin de siecle" villa in a quiet street in the most elegant area of central Florence, near the Grand Hotel and 10 minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio.

Refurbished, renewed classrooms, a small library, computers with adsl hi-speed connection, and a beautiful garden where the kids can play and the adults can relax. Our school building and classrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Hua Hsia Chinese School is organising our annual Chinese Culture Easter Camp in Hampstead (3/4 to 6/4) and Southgate (9/4 to 13/4).

• Hua Hsia Chinese School offers year-round & summer Mandarin Chinese language courses for children & adults of all levels.

International Language Camps, French Alps

• International Language Camps (ILC) provides a range of fun language and activity-based summer and winter camps for children and teenagers ages 6-17 from around the world.
