The Piccola Università Italiana, offers professional organized Italian language courses recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. The Italian language school is situated in the picturesque, medieval Tropea, directly on the Mediterranean Sea in southern Italy. The ideal place to combine studies and holidays! Tropea is a charming medieval town of 7000 inhabitants not far from Capo Vaticano, and is situated at the neck of the "Boot" at the same latitude as the famous Eolean islands. Italian language courses given to small groups of 4-6 students. Special courses for the hotel and tourism industry, individual crash courses in business Italian, Italian for fashion and style can be organized as well.

Is it possible to do a course only for 1 week?

The duration of the course can be from 1 week up to 3 months or more. On average the students stay for 3 weeks.

How many persons are in one class?
The group courses are formed of 3-6 students.
If, after having done the test, there won’t be a class (3-6 students) for a student in his own language level, he will have individual lessons or two-to-one. In this case the number of lessons will be reduced to 50%.

Founded in 1995, Accademia del Giglio is a private Italian language and culture school based in Florence in the Tuscany region of Italy, approximately 3 hours north of Rome. Our courses are specifically aimed at helping international students to gain proficiency in the Italian language, understand the many aspects of Italian culture and acquire artistic skills.

The school places considerable emphasis on the quality of its teaching. All our teachers have a degree from an approved Italian university, are native Italian speakers who can also speak English and / or French, and have at least 4 years’ teaching experience. They are prepared to help the students with any problem they may experience during their stay at the Accademia del Giglio.

Our classes are very small with a maximum of 6-7 students, and are held in a peaceful, quiet area in the city. We feel that small class sizes are essential to facilitate the learning process and ensure that focus is placed on the learning requirements of the individual student, and on helping him / her to overcome any difficulties in a friendly environment.
