Hotel Management and Spanish Course & Internship in Spain

EIDE, Bilbao:
Escuelas Internacionales Para la Educación y el Desarrollo (EIDE) in Santurtzi, Bilbao, Northern Spain was founded in 1976. It is a private institution whose goal is to promote and develop language courses and degrees in Higher Education, including our two-year Higher Studies in Hospitality Management diploma course.

The Higher Studies in Hospitality Management is aimed at those who wish to become professionals in the hospitality industry, who are fond of working with people, travelling and learning new cultures and who want to develop an international career. It is a very complete programme, focused on developing practical skills that prepare the students to enter middle management positions. It also includes internships in hotels.

Official Diploma:
On completion, you will receive an official diploma issued by the Spanish Ministry of Education.

Internships in Spain:
Two of the pillars of the education offered in EIDE are the practical training and the international focus, which can be shown in the importance we give to language learning (Our native Spanish students have the opportunity to do internships abroad for a period of 3 or 4 months).

Admission:
In order to register for the course students are required to have the Spanish Bachillerato or the equivalent secondary school / high school diploma in their country.

EIDE is accredited by the Department of Education of the Basque Country for the higher education degrees of Hotel Management. Our course is recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education as courses of the Spanish National Higher Professional Education System (Ciclos Superiores de Formación Profesional).

Our 30-year-experience and professionalism have been recognized by such institutions as the University of Cambridge and Instituto Cervantes for teaching English and Spanish as a foreign language, as well as different National and European Organizations.

EIDE is located in the city centre of Santurtzi. Situated in the metropolitan area of Bilbao (Basque Country), Santurtzi is perhaps best known for having one of the biggest ports in Europe, The Great Port of Bilbao.

The location of Santurtzi couldn’t be better:
- 20 minutes by train or car to the center of Bilbao
- 20 minutes to the airport of Bilbao
- 1.5 hours to France
- 1 hour to Santander
- 1 hour to the famous wine region La Rioja
- 1 hour to San Sebastián
- 4 hours to Madrid

Santurtzi is a very well connected city. To the east, the motorway A8 connects Santurtzi with Bilbao, San Sebastián, Irun and France. To the west, the A8 connects Santurtzi with Santander. The motorway A68, which you can take once in Bilbao, connects Bizkaia (Biscay) with Vitoria, Logroño, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Burgos and Madrid. The nearest airport is the airport of Bilbao, in Loiu. Other airports: Biarritz (France) about 140kms, Santander (Cantabria) about 70kms away.

The Cantabrian shore is said to be one of the most beautiful coasts in Europe. It encompasses multiple cliffs, unspoilt beaches and little fishing villages. Bizkaia’s coastline offers waves and salt air to go sailing, surfing or swimming.

Bilbao, the most populated capital city in the Basque Country is a cosmopolitan and modern city today, where the Guggenheim Museum is world renowned. Bilbao, a city of contrasts, has been able to preserve its spirit of a cosy town and combine it with the cosmopolitan spirit which has made it famous all over the world. All this can be found in a city that does not sleep, with an intensive nightlife with many different bars in different areas to satisfy everyone’s taste.
