Intensive German Courses in Regensburg, Germany

Horizonte language institute is located in Regensburg. If you want to learn German in Germany, this is the right place to go. Horizonte was founded in 1986 and has quickly earned a good international reputation through its high standard of teaching and its personal, friendly and unbureaucratic working ethos. Our language school is on the 4th floor of an office building (built in the 50ies) in the quiet medieval city centre of Regensburg, they were completely refurbished in 2002. We have eight bright fully equipped classrooms. From some of them you have a view to the cathedral. You can have coffee and use 6 computers at any time. In the afternoon you can in the language and study.

General language course
20 classes per week (à 45 minutes)
This course is offered throughout the year at all levels. In order to make noticeable improvement, we would recommend a 4-week stay at least. However, you can opt to stay 2 or 3 weeks.

For the purposes of the visa,our standard course is treated as an intensive course as the extra afternoon classes (on phonetics,history etc.) are counted as an integral part of the course.

The main goal of our classes is to improve your communication skills; this means that we will give you many opportunities to speak in class. We train your listening comprehension skills with special exercises and you will have the chance to improve your powers of expression in written German. Working in small groups (average 8, max. 10 people, July & Augst 12), you will quickly make progress in German.

Intensive Course
30 classes per week
We recommend this course for those who want to learn very quickly. It includes the Standard/General language course in the morning plus 10 lessons in a mini-group (2 - 4 people). If you are the only student of your level to take an intensive course, you will get 5 individual lessons per week instead.

In the afternoon classes you decide on the contents, topics and exercises and the teacher will be able to help you individually. Afternoon classes are so arranged (10 classes on 4 afternoons) that you can participate in the leisure programme.

One-to-One Courses
Times, number of hours, duration of the course and its contents are designed according to your wishes.
