Ermitage International School of France:
Opened in 1941 in the historic town of Maisons-Laffitte, Ermitage is a day and boarding school that offers bilingual education for more than 1300 students ranging from Kindergarten to High School. Only 20km from Paris, Ermitage offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) as well as the French Baccalaureate with the "option internationale" (OIB). Ermitage students have the extraordinary chance to work together with fellow international students, discussing important world issues and building a global network of friends. International and regional conferences are held annually, with the international conferences focusing on one main pillar of the organization and being held on a different continent each year. In recent years, Ermitage students have participated in Round Square conferences in Denmark, Germany, India, Switzerland, Thailand, South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Ermitage students are asked to think critically about their impact on an ever-changing world. Encouraged to challenge the world they live in, students engage more intensely on the issues facing their peers and their environment. Students participate in a variety of service-learning opportunities throughout the year, such as the Round Square inspired India Eye Care Project, which provides eye care to underprivileged villagers in India in partnership with other Round Square Schools. Round Square International Service (“RSIS”) projects are also offered, which Ermitage students can participate in with students from other schools.

In a multicultural environment rich with more than 70 nationalities, we guide each student towards the international curriculum that corresponds to their academic profile, nourishing their path with experiences across the globe.

Every year, Ermitage offers students the opportunity to travel internationally to Round Square, Model United Nations (MUN) and World Scholar's Cup conferences. We pride ourselves in sending student representatives to as many conferences as possible. These conferences give students a chance to explore new cultures while discussing global issues with students from various backgrounds and countries. They always offer enlightening experiences and allow students to develop their leadership skills.
