Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences:
Founded in 1987, Wittenborg University is one of the most international and diverse privately funded institutes in the Netherlands. As a not-for-profit private University, Wittenborg offers management degrees in a range of fields to around 200 Dutch and International students at its campus in Apeldoorn, where it has been located since 2010.

Business courses at both under graduate (Bachelor) and language and intercultural courses at certificate (diploma) level. Wittenborg also provides an International MBA - Masters in Business Administration.

The Bachelor courses include a special Post Graduate "Final Year" Bachelor programme, for international students who have achieved higher education credits in their own country.

WIU has a comprehensive preparation year and foundation programme for students requiring the IELTS level needed to further their studies.

WIU offers seminars and training either at its campus or on location for companies and businesses in the field of English language skills and communication management techniques. Wittenborg also has an extensive "Asia-link" training programme, focused on the skills and tools required of western business people and companies when "doing business" in the Far East. 

WIU provides intensive post graduate certificate courses in Dutch Language Skills combined with intercultural and communication skills, for foreign graduates wishing to optimize on their Dutch higher education.

International Master Degree in Business Administration:
There are many MBA’s in the world, and most of them fall into two categories, pure academic research, and modular practical business MBA’s. Wittenborg?s is a combination of both, focusing on competencies as well as skills, coupled with a significant research project. Wittenborg’s MBA is focused from the viewpoint of doing business with the European Union, and the European perspective is a recurring factor in all modules.

The MBA course is modular, comprised of 8 modules, and each module can be studied separately. The modules are described below. Alongside the modules runs a personal development plan, described in the "Module Overview" as PDP. This personal development plan runs throughout the MBA programme and contains all the skills based training, such as management skills and business English.

Wittenborg’s strengths as a Business School are that its Language School department is staffed exclusively by Native English speakers, who provide excellent Business English training skills as well as Intercultural Training and Interpersonal and Management Skills courses. Its Business School lecturers are divided into two types: course tutors, who are teachers from business, who work at the Business school on a regular part-time basis, and Guest Lecturers from Dutch and European business and industry, who provide snapshot lectures into specific aspects of the modules.
