For Student Housing in Deventer Wittenborg has joined forces with local housing owners to formed a special foundation which will provide standard student accommodation to national and international students.

Student housing in the Netherlands is often in so-called "student houses", which generally means three to five students sharing a house or apartment with cooking and bathroom facilities. International students are often required to share a room with one other student.

There is an acute housing shortage in the Netherlands, which means that it is not always easy for students from abroad to arrange housing for themselves before entering the country to study. Students are obliged to stay in the first student house (arranged for by the school) for 3 months and then free to find housing themselves afterwards.

Students will be guaranteed of a room 2 weeks prior to the course starting dates if the visa approval from IND is on time.

The housing contract is between Wittenborg and the Student, and is not dependant on a particular address. Wittenborg has the right to relocate students during their period of stay in Wittenborg accommodations, if the need arises, due to changes in housing requirements or availability. All housing is subject to the housing rules and regulations, published on Intranet, and provided to students on entry.

Students are required to keep in contact with International Office of Wittenborg and housing department during the visa picking-up period.
Remaining in WSK housing

If a student wants to remain in the current room after 6 months of stay, the rent of this room will be reduced to 250 Euro per month per person based on 2 students share. The rate for single room and larger single room varies.

Provisions of Wittenborg (WSK) housing

Standard Student Housing will consist of single or shared rooms with communal cooking areas, however not necessarily central dining area or living room. Students will be provided with furnished rooms. All housing will be in the town of Deventer itself and within 30 minutes of cycling distance (equal to 60 minutes by foot) of the University campus, as well as the town centre.
