Language and Cultural studies at Regent's University London:
Internexus in London is part of the Regent's College Campus, located in Regent's Park in Central London. Internexus offers a wide range of English language courses to both UK and international students of all levels. With European Business School and several other universities you would be part of truly international community. Internexus is part of a worldwide network of language centres and is varied, fun and interesting. Studying at Internexus, you can join other students in all the social events that are organised by the staff, teachers and sometimes by the students themselves.

General English Language Courses:

Year-round courses:
- From 2 to 48 weeks
- Pre-intermediate to Advanced
- General English classes are from Monday to Friday.

Important:  Internexus London does not have provision for English Language students who are beginners.

8 Intensive English:
- 27 hours per week: 9.15 am-4.45 pm
- Our most popular course:  Students combine a three-hour class of General English with two specific afternoon classes (options). The three hour class is a balanced, communicative class covering the skills of speaking, listening, writing and reading. These classes also focus on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and aspects of British culture and life in Britain. The afternoon classes have a specific focus and these may change every two weeks.

Semi-Intensive English:
- 15 hours per week - Mornings: 9.15 am-12.30 pm
- 15 hours per week - Afternoons: 1.30 pm-4.45 pm
- The afternoon classes consist of two option classes with a Friday afternoon workshop.

Students can either study in the morning or the afternoon. The minimum age for all courses at Internexus London is 16. There is a maximum of 14 students per class with an average of 10-12 students per class.

Pre-College English Language Courses:
Many of our students need to improve their English skills to go to university at Regent's College, or to another college in the UK. We have an excellent success rate in training students for the IELTS exam and in providing them with the skills they need for university study in the UK.

* Cambridge IELTS Exam Course:
- This course combines general English with specific language skills needed for academic study.
- 8 weeks intensive
- Upper Intermediate Plus
- 27 hours per week

IELTS is a widely accepted qualification for university entrance in the UK, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. This course focuses on:

* Writing essays
* Understanding academic texts
* Increasing vocabulary
* Exam techniques
* Listening skills for lectures
* Discussing, debating and presenting

* Bridge Course:
- 12 week Intensive
- Mid- Upper-lntermediate
- 7 hours per week

This course prepares students wishing to enter one of the schools on campus or other British universities in September or January. The course combines General English with specific language skills needed for academic study, such as writing essays and reports, understanding lectures and participating in discussions and seminars. Students can work towards the IELTS exam at the end of the course.

Cambridge English Language Exam Courses:
Internexus offers First Certificate of English (FCE) and Cambridge Advanced (CAE) preparation classes. These are run on demand..

Pre-Sessional English Language Course:
- 15 hours weekly
- This course prepares students for academic study at university in the UK. It combines development of study techniques with a grounding in academic language.

Business English Courses:
* 25 hours per week
* 2 week modules
* Upper intermediate

Every summer Internexus offers a programme of short business courses in conjunction with the European Business School (EBS). These two-week courses are aimed at students who have not previously studied business. Each course combines morning classes of Business English taught by Internexus, with afternoon lectures introducing a business subject, taught by EBS.

English Language Residence (Homestay) Programme:
July and August only. Young adults ages 16-21 years

The programme includes:
* Accommodation in chosen room with meal plan
* 15 hours of tuition weekly
* Course book and other materials
* Social activities
* One full day excursion weekly, out of London
* Two afternoon trips weekly to London sights
* One evening activity weekly in London's West End
* Evening activities weekly on campus
* Staff Support 24/7 in the residence

One to One English Language Courses:
* General or Business English lessons
* 5 - 25 hours weekly
* Flexible times

This course is designed for the busy individual who wishes to maximize their time in London. The syllabus is tailored to meet the specific needs of the student.

English Internship Programmes:
Students first take a full-time English course followed by a full-time unpaid work placement. Work placements are allocated on arrival and can be arranged in almost any sector: administration, finance, marketing, engineering, etc. Students are able to improve their English and gain important international work experience. Certificates are given from both the English course and the placement.

Students from outside the EU must enter the UK on a student visa to do this programme.Required level is upper intermediate to advanced. Certificates for this programme can be issued at an extra cost by the University of Cambridge International Examinations. Visa national students must study for a period of time equal to or greater than the work placement period.
