Bouchereau Lingua International:
Bouchereau Lingua International (BLI) Toronto, Quebec City & Montreal. We offer Business language immersion programs to people from many different countries plus language courses to business people. We also offer homestay and translation services. Every year, BLI welcomes English- and French-speaking Canadians to our immersion programs, along with foreign students from Europe, the United States, Latin America, Asia, Australia, Africa and the Middle East.

Immersion for business people
Our specialized language immersion program for business people whether private, semi-private or small groups (from 3-6) are tailored to the needs of the participants,. Our experience working with businesses in each of our centres since 1976 allows us to offer programs of the highest quality to the business community.

To business people around the world, BLI offers the following 3 programs:

Individual courses
These language courses are intended for administrators and employees who wish to rapidly improve the level of their English or French.

Semi-private courses
These language courses are intended for two participants at the same level, both of whom work for the same company and sign up for the same duration.

Small-groups courses-(3-6 participants)
The client organizes a group of participants at the same level. They are signed up for the same duration.
- The English immersion program is offered in Toronto and Montreal.
- The French immersion program is offered in Quebec City and Montreal.
- The minimum duration is one week.
- The recommended weekly duration is 30 to 60 hours distributed over 5 or 6 days (excluding Sunday).
- In order to maximize the immersion session, we recommend a pre-intermediate level or higher.
- Language Courses normally begin on Monday, but other arrangements are possible.
- The immersion session can begin at any time during the year (except statutory holidays), whatever the duration. BLI is open all year round to provide our clients with maximum flexibility.

General immersion
Every year, BLI welcomes English- and French-speaking Canadians to our language immersion programs, along with foreign students from Europe, the United States, Latin America, Asia, Australia, Africa and the Middle East.
- Our general language immersion program (Number 1): a group of 4 to 9 people at the same level. This is by far our most popular program, with fast and noticeable results, particularly in oral communication skills;
- We have courses of various durations beginning every Monday throughout the year;
- We have friendly personal contact with every student;
- All our language schools are located in the downtown area, easily accessible by public transit and in close proximity to a multitude of services.
Immersion programs

1: International groups (Quebec City and Toronto only)
2a: Private courses (Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto)
1+2a: Combination of programs 1 and 2a (Quebec and Toronto only)
2b: Semi-private courses (two people). (Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto)
2c: Groups pre-formed by the client (Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto)

1- International groups (Quebec City and Toronto only)

- 20 hours per week.
- From 4 to 9 in a group. With a modified schedule when there are fewer than four in a group.
- Minimum age: 18.
- Instruction: general French or English.
- Origin of participants: worldwide.
- Beginning of courses: every Monday throughout the year.
- Duration of course: from two weeks to one year.

2a- Private courses - customized

- From 10 to 60 hours per week in 5 or 6 days.
- Course adapted to your needs, oral or written.
- Beginning and duration of course: as client requests.

1+2a- Combination (Toronto and Quebec City only)

- International group (general English or French) plus private courses customized to your needs.

2b- Semi-private courses - customized

- 2 students together from the same company at the same level.
- Course adapted to need, oral or written.
- Beginning and duration of course: as client requests.

2c- Pre-formed groups - customized

- The client organizes a group of from 3 to 6 people at the same level.
- Course adapted to your needs, oral and written.
- Beginning and duration of course: as client request

Oral language
Our oral language courses are offered principally in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and German. Other Western and Oriental languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Italian, and Japanese.
Levels

Our instruction is divided into six levels, from beginner to expert.

Levels 1 to 3: Beginner to intermediate - goal: threshold
Level 4: Advanced intermediate - goal: competence
Levels 5 and 6: Advanced - goal: functional bilingualism

Written language
There are four levels for French courses and three for English courses. They can be followed in succession. However, each level is independent and can be taken separately, as each deals with specific objectives.

Level I: pre-intermediate
Grammatical principles; basic vocabulary; sentence and paragraph writing.

Level II: intermediate
Grammatical principles; business correspondence; speed and precision.

Level III: advanced intermediate
Advanced grammatical principles; drafting of reports and statements; writing techniques.

Level IV: advanced
Refining; polishing; solving grammatical, lexical and stylistic problems.

Objectives

The objectives of the written language course are:

- to correct grammatical errors;
- to learn how to produce written work that takes the recipient into account;
- to perform the principal tasks of written communication: letters, accounts, reports, memos, faxes, etc.;
- to acquire as much independence as possible in work-related writing.
