Student Intranet
The school Intranet is accessible to all students via their web browser. The services offered online include regular updates on school and industry activities eg. guest speakers and student events. The Intranet also provides a full online library resource where library books can be searched and reserved, and bookings made for online equipment including digital still and digital video cameras.
Student library
The school's library provides a comprehensive selection of highly relevant, specialty books on each of the subjects taught. In addition, a wide range of magazines, CD's, videos and DVD's are available for loan.
Student lounge
High on the 12th floor overlooking Queen Street is the student lounge and kitchen facililities. Stunning views greet students who need to relax and enjoy their lunch and socialise with other students. Kitchen facilities provided include fridge, microwaves, water cooler, dishwasher, and utensils.
Exhibition space
A modern, open design space is provided at the school as exhibition space for students and graduates to show off work at industry events, this is also the space used for graduation and other social functions.
Computer labs
Media Design School is very well resourced, offering some of the latest in hardware, software and technology that reflect industry standards. Students have a dedicated computer during class lab times (excluding Creative Advertising students) and have access to computers in the student labs outside of scheduled classes.
The school has 13 computer labs (including 2 after hours labs) and a flexible workspace available for showcasing recent student productions, lunchtime industry speakers, video conferences and specialist productions or classes.
