Located just off Freeway 195 in central Fall River MA, Health Care Training Services is a fully licensed and accredited healthcare education facility that offers a wide range of clinical and administrative healthcare courses. As well as Certificate courses in fields such as Nursing Assistant & Home Help Aide, we also provide Medical Billing Specialist, and Medical Office Professional Programs to students from all over the southern Massachusetts and Providence area.

Clinical Certificate Courses in Healthcare:

Nursing Assistant
Nursing Assistant (formerly CNA) is a 90 hour course which includes classroom, lab and 24 hours of hands on experience in a local nursing home. Your nursing home experience will be fully supervised. This program prepares you to sit for the Massachusetts CNA State Exam which is given in our classrooms for your comfort. Career opportunities include, but are not limited to, working in a hospital, nursing home, or Doctor's office.

Home Health Aide Upgrade
This is a 12 hour course that is designed for CNA’s who are not already certified as a Home Health Aide but would like to work in client’s homes through Home Care agencies.

Phlebotomy Technician
Prepare to enter the medical field, or advance within it, by taking the Phlebotomy Program. Our program offers the student an intense look at the anatomy and physiology, theory and practical experience in venipuncture and specimen collection. You experience 80 hours of “hands” on in the classroom, in our own lab. A 120-hour clinical further provides the student with the experience and confidence they need to begin work immediately upon completion of the course and clinical.

Information for all courses:
A high school diploma or GED are required for most courses. All clinical course students are required to provide written documentation that within the past year they:

- Have had a physical exam and are in good health
- Have had a TB test or chest x-ray and
- Have current MMR and Chicken Pox vaccinations

Administrative Healthcare Certificate Courses:

Medical Billing Specialist
Completion of this 520-hour certificate program will prepare the participant to work in a medical office doing patient billing. Course work includes: Introduction to Keyboarding, Typing, Microsoft Office 2003 & Computer Basics, Medical Terminology, Medical Insurance and Coding by Medisoft, Third Party Patient Billing, Internship and Career preparation and skills.

Medical Office Professional
This program consists of 690 hours of classroom, lab and internship experience. The course work includes: Microsoft Office 2003 & Computer Basics, Medical Terminology, Medical Office Procedures, Introduction to Keyboarding, Typing, and Medical Insurance & Coding by Medisoft, Third Party Patient Billing, Business Writing, Business Math, Career Preparation & Skills and an internship.

Medical Office Specialist
Completion of this 520-hour certificate program will prepare the participant to work in a variety of medical settings. This course is certified by the National Center for Compentency Testing(NCCT) and by the National Healthcareer Association(NHA) and our school is a certified testing site for the NHA National Certification Exam
