These run as one-off events during school holidays and occassionally on weekends.

Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ:

Picture of Tech Holiday Camps in London & throughout UKWho are your course instructors?
Lead Tutors have a strong educational background and technical expertise in the area they teach. They are supported by Camp Tutors, who are often university students in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering. All of our tutors have a passion for tech which they seek to inspire our campers with.

All tutors undergo extensive in-person training in the relevant course curricula, in the Fire Tech Camp mission and values, and in the business's Child Safety Policies. They are all DBS checked (formerly CRB).

What is the format of your courses?
There are three main types of course format.  Week-long holiday camps, One-day workshops, and Weekend courses. There are also some shorter course formats: 2-3 day workshops or 5-day camps that are mornings or afternoons only.

The majority of our courses are non-residential but we do offer a premium residential programme during the summer holidays.

Do you provide all the equipment?
This varies from course to course. While we supply most of the equipment and materials for different courses, there are some which require students to bring their own laptop although we can arrange laptop hire for students without one.

There are some courses, e.g. Teen Hardware with Arduino, where it is strongly encouraged that students invest in their own equipment so that they continue with their tech learning at home.

Will my 9-year-old be working with a 17-year-old?
No. Different courses are aimed at different age groups and the age range of any one group working together on the same projects tends not to be larger than 2-3 years.

Where are you based?
Our flagship location is Imperial College, London but we have other regional bases, as well as making use of other top-notch facilities in the capital city. Current regional locations include Manchester, Bristol, Cambridge and Reading.
