The American citizen’s services section assists people with passport renewal, registration of Americans living in Cyprus, birth reports for children of American citizens born in Cyprus, voter registration, income tax forms, notarial services and emergency services to American citizens.

Application Requirements for Replacement of a Lost or Stolen U.S. Passport:

• Completed application form DS-11 and DS-64
• A copy of the police report
• A passport photo (see requirements listed below)
• Proof of identity (for example, a photo I.D. such as driving license)
• Proof of U.S. citizenship (for example, your U.S. birth certificate or canceled U.S. passport).

Citizens of Cyprus need visas to visit the United States.

The required presumption under U.S. law is that every visitor visa applicant is an intending immigrant until they demonstrate otherwise. Therefore, applicants for visitor visas must overcome this presumption by demonstrating: 

• That the purpose of their trip is to enter the United States temporarily for business or pleasure; 
• That they plan to remain for a specific, limited period; 
• Evidence of funds to cover expenses in the United States; 
• That they have a residence outside the United States as well as other binding ties that will ensure their departure from the United States at the end of the visit.

When applying for a Visitor Visa, applicants must provide:

• Completed form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application.
• Paid non-refundable visa application fee.

During the visa application process, an ink-free, digital fingerprint scan will be taken. Some visa applications require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after the visa applicant’s interview by a Consular Officer.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
