British Embassy in Vilnius works to improve trade and investment between Britain and Lithuania, developing strong political, economic, cultural and defence ties. The Embassy provides protection to British nationals and works in partnership with the Lithuanian government on shared EU and International priorities.

The Embassy of UK in Lithuania can:

• Issue emergency travel documents;
• Issue and renew passports;
• Issue visas;
• Provide notarial and documentary services;
• Register a birth, marriage or death;
• Provide information about transferring funds;
• Provide appropriate help if you have suffered rape or serious assault, are a victim of other crime, or are in hospital;
• Help people with mental illness;
• Do all the Embassy properly can to contact citizens within 24 hours of being told that they have been detained;
• Offer support and help in a range of other cases, such as child abductions, death of relatives overseas, missing people and kidnapping;
• Contact family or friends for citizens if they want;
• Make special arrangements in cases of terrorism, civil disturbances or natural disasters.

British nationals can apply for an emergency travel document if their passport has been lost, stolen, damaged or has expired. An emergency travel document allows British nationals to leave the country they're in and travel to their destination via a maximum of 5 countries.

Lithuanian nationals do not require a visa to enter UK. Nationals of other countries of the world can check if they need a visa to visit UK by going to: https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa

Also, holders of British Citizen passports do not require visas to enter Lithuania.

The Embassy is closed on weekends and public holidays.
