The British High Commission can’t help with passport enquiries. The British High Commission can’t help with visa enquiries.

Citizens of India need visas to visit the UK. Documents needed when applying for a visa:

• Valid travel document (national passport or other document that allows the holder to travel internationally).
• Previous travel documents/passports, which show previous travel.
• Financial documents showing that you have sufficient funds available.
• Confirmation of legal residence, if you are not a national of the country in which you are applying or your right to reside there is not included in your passport.
• Details of employment or studies where you have stated in your application that you are either employed or in full-time studies.
• If self employed: business registration documents confirming the business owner’s name and the date the business started trading.

No weapons will be allowed onto the compound and there are no facilities to store such weapons. Any person attempting to bring a weapon onto the compound will be required to leave immediately.

The British High Commission does not have the facility to screen or hold large bags, rucksacks etc. Customers may bring in a bag no larger than a briefcase or ladies handbag, but should be aware that this will be subject to a search by a suitably qualified guard.

The British High Commission is closed on public holidays.
