Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Issuance of temporary passports;

In case of a lost/stolen passport in a foreign country, Thai nationals must file a lost passport report to the local authorities and bring a notification along with documents proving the applicant’s Thai nationality to the nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate General to apply for a new passport.

Chinese citizens need visas to visit Thailand.

Tourist visa requirements for Chinese citizens:

• Passport with validity of more than 6 months together with an application form and a passport size photograph (2 inches with white or blue background).
• A copy of roundtrip air ticket or an evidence of confirmed reservation.
• Bank statement with minimum balance of 10,000 RMB.
• Guarantee letter (In English or Thai) from the applicant's local guarantor or local school, indicating the applicant's name, position, purpose of travel and duration of proposed stay. The letter must include official letterhead of the company/school and affix with official seal.
• For Children who travel with parents, please prepare official documents indicating the relationship of the applicants such as copy of the residence booklet, birth certificate of the child or marriage certificate.
• For Elderly who are retired, please prepare copy of retirement certificate and a copy of accommodation reservation, with the name of the applicant, in Thailand.
• For persons who have no regular work, please prepare the residence permit which is issued at subdistrict office. And a copy of accommodation reservation, with the name of the applicant, in Thailand.
• Applicants who renewed their passport within one year should bring the old passport when submitting an application.

All payments for visa processing fees are to be done at Bank of China located on 1st Floor of LG Twin Towers, East Building.

Visa processing fee may be changed without prior notice and is non-refundable under any circumstances.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
