Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Consular registration;
• Civil status registration;
• Issuance of passports;
• Legalization of documents;
• Consular assistance in cases of emergency.

Although passports must be processed in their place of residence, Spanish citizens travelling abroad can apply for a new passport at the consular offices along their route in case of:

• Loss or theft
• Expiry
• Approaching the expiry date
• Damage
• Lack of free pages

To return to Spain, the consular office may issue a laissez-passer travel document valid solely for returning to Spain.

Citizens of Saudi Arabia require visas to visit Spain. The visa will take at least 4 weeks to process. Entry into Spain for stays not exceeding ninety days per six months period is subject to these conditions:

• Being in possession of a valid passport or travel document.
• Being in possession of a valid visa.
• Being in possession of documents that justify the purpose and conditions of the intended stay, and having sufficient means of subsistence for the duration of the intended stay in Spain.
• Not being subject to a ban on entry.
• Not being considered a threat to the public health, public order, national security, or international relations of Spain or of other States with which Spain has agreements in this regards.
• Not having already stayed for three months during a six-month period.
