The Embassy provides these consular services:

  • Issues visas;
  • Issues passports;
  • Registers Spanish nationals living abroad;
  • Legalizes documents;
  • Provides civil registration services;
  • Assists in cases of emergency.

Spanish nationals abroad may apply for a new passport while abroad, if their current passport is lost or stolen, expired or near expiration, damaged, lacks free pages. Embassy of Spain in Moscow may also issue an emergency pass to return to Spain.

Russian citizens are required to hold a visa to visit Spain. Tourism visa requirements:

  • Valid passport.
  • Documents that justify the purpose and conditions of the intended stay, and sufficient means of subsistence for the duration of the intended stay in Spain.
  • A supporting document from the establishment providing accommodation or a letter of invitation from a private individual hosting the foreigner concerned in their home, issued by the Police Station of their place of residence.
  • Confirmation of the booking of an organised trip, indicating the itinerary.
  • A return or round-trip ticket.
  • Not being subject to a ban on entry.
  • Not being considered a threat to the public health, public order, national security, or international relations of Spain or of other States with which Spain has agreements in this regard.
  • Not having already stayed for three months during a six-month period.
  • Exceptionally, submission of medical certificates required by the Ministry of the Interior. The need to submit these certificates shall be made known, as far as possible, sufficiently in advance.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
