Consular services provided by the Embassy:

  • Issuance of passports;
  • Military/civil registration (marriage, birth, death, divorce, etc.);
  • Registration of Korean citizens abroad.

Theft or loss of a valid passport must be reported to the police and a police report should be presented when applying for a new passport.

Singapore nationals travelling to Korea for a period of up to 90 days do not need a visa under the Visa Exemption Agreement between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Singapore. The Visa Exemption Agreement is applicable only for the purpose of tourism, business meetings, conferences, seminars, short term study, etc. It is not applicable to employment engagement, whether paid or unpaid, or to those intending to study long term in Korea.

It should be noted that visitors may not extend their stay in Korea beyond 90 days or change their status under the Visa Exemption Agreement while they are in Korea.

Visa Application:

  • Only foreigners residing in Singapore with long term visa or resident status are eligible to apply with the Embassy.
  • Visa application can be made in person or on behalf of the applicant (letter of authorization not necessary) on a walk-in basis at the Consulates. No pre-appointment or reservation.
  • The Korean Embassy in Singapore does not accept visa applications by post, email or online.
  • To apply for a visa, applicants should provide the required documents in original & photocopy. Other documents may be requested on a case-by-case basis.
  • All travelers, including children endorsed in a parent's passport, should submit a visa application form and a photograph separately.

It takes 4 working days to process a visa. No urgent or express service is available.

The Embassy is closed on Singaporean and Korean holidays.
