Consular services provided by the Embassy:
- Issuance of passports;
- Dealing with Romanian citizenship;
- Marriage in the Embassy;
- Issuance of visas;
- Issuance of birth, marriage, death, criminal record, employment, name change, divorce certificates;
- Issuance of notarial acts;
- Assistance and consular protection of Romanian citizens.
In case Romanian citizen loses or gets his/her documents, money or other belongings stolen abroad, he/she should immediately report it to the local police and obtain a police report.
Citizens of China need visas to visit Romania. They also must be in possession of an invitation endorsed by the Inspectorate General for Immigration from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, that they must submit when applying for a short-stay visa.
Supporting documents required for a short-stay visa:
- voucher or firm reservation at a tourist accommodation unit, as well as the itinerary of the trip;
- valid travel ticket to destination, or the driving license, green card and registration documents of the means of transport in the case of vehicle drivers, except for the accompanying persons who travel together with them;
- travel medical insurance;
- proof of financial means in amount of EUR 50/day for the entire period, but not less than EUR 500 or the equivalent in convertible currency, except for the visa applicants who prove the full payment in advance of the tourism services packages, at least accommodation and meals.
The Embassy can receive visa applications from foreign citizens residing in:
- all provinces and municipalities of the People’s Republic of China, except for Shanghai, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hong Kong and Macao.
- Mongolia.
The Embassy will be closed on public holidays.
