Consular services provided by the Consular Section of the Embassy:
- Consular registration of Portuguese citizens abroad;
- Issuance of identity documents (citizen card, ID card);
- Issuance of passports;
- Issuance of visas;
- Marriage abroad matters;
- Nationality matters;
- Birth registration;
- Military service matters;
- Issuance of residence certificates;
- Voting in national electoral events;
- Assistance to Portuguese citizens in cases of emergency while abroad.
In case Portuguese passport is lost or stolen, it should be immediately reported to the passport issuing authority in order to cancel the passport. Portuguese diplomatic mission can issue a temporary passport or single travel permit to return to Portugal.
Citizens of Poland do not require a visa to visit Portugal. Citizens of other countries may require a Schengen visa to enter Portugal for short stays of up to 90 days for each semester.
For each visa application a visa fee is paid. It refers to the analysis of the visa application and does not guarantee its concession. The applicant shall appear in person and all original documents shall be presented, as well as a copy. The Visa request instruction should justify the objective and conditions of stay.
The Embassy is closed on Polish and Portuguese holidays.
