It also provides information on the services offered to PNG and Australian citizens by the High Commission and consular establishments in other parts of Australia.
All foreign visitors to PNG need a visa. There are a number of categories depending on the purpose of the visit. To apply for a visa the applicant needs to complete and sign the correct application form, attach one passport size photograph, and pay the required fee. Then one need to provide and other documentary information requested by the type of visa. The application needs to be sent or delivered to the High Commission in Canberra or General Consulate in Brisbane with a valid passport and provide a self-addressed and pre-paid Express Post envelope for the return of the passport.
All PNG citizens resident or working in Australia are encouraged to register with the High Commission to ensure that they can be contacted in the event of an emergency.
