The Embassy is open Sunday to Thursday. Fridays and Saturdays it is closed. The Pakistan Embassy in Kabul provides all necessary information about working/traveling visas, applications for permanent residence and other consular services. Passports are normally issued within 8 days, but in cases of emergency an urgent passport can be issues on the next day. The Embassy also provides notarization services.

Those who wish to apply for a visa can contact the Embassy, download the Visa Form from the official Embassy website, or obtain it form the photocopy shops outside the Embassy or Pakistani Banks. Applications can be submitted to the visa officers between 8:00 and 10:00 am during working days. The submission must be done in person. The visa is normally issued within 2 days, however in special situations it can be issued the same day. Visas for Afghan nationals are free of charge, however US citizens have to pay a $120 fee.
