Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Document authentication/legalization and apostille certification;
• Translation of documents;
• Consular registry of Latvian citizens abroad;
• Civil status matters;
• Issuance of visas;
• Assistance to Latvian citizens in cases of emergency;
• Consular protection of Latvian citizens, their rights and legitimate interests abroad.

In case of loss, theft or damage to the Latvian passport while abroad, Latvian citizens should go to Latvian diplomatic representation in the area to obtain a temporary travel document to return to Latvia.

Polish citizen does not require a visa in order to enter and reside in Latvia for a period of up to three months. In order to enter Latvia, he/she requires a valid travel document - passport or identification card (an ID card). Citizens of other countries should contact Latvian diplomatic missions to find out if they need a visa to travel to Latvia.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
