The Embassy provides consular services related to the following matters:
- Visas;
- Passports;
- Notification and certification;
- Overseas voting;
- Overseas education;
- Pensions;
- Insurance;
- Driver's license;
- Customs;
- Emergency situations.
In case Japanese passport is lost or stolen while abroad, it should be immediately reported to the local police. A police notification about the loss/theft of the passport will be needed when applying for a new passport at the Embassy of Japan.
Saudi nationals who want to visit Japan for tourism purposes require a visa. Documents required:
- Valid passport.
- One application form duly filled in and signed by applicant. One photograph pasted on application.
- Photocopy of Iqama and exit/re-entry visa (for non-Saudi only).
- Flight information (round trip).
- Accommodation booking.
- Documents certifying that the person concerned can defray all expenses incurred during the stay in Japan. For example, certificate of employment, copies of bank statement.
Visa fees must be paid in cash only. Personal checks and credit cards are not accepted.
The Embassy is closed on Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays.
