The Embassy provides these consular services:

• Registers Israeli citizens abroad;
• Provides notarization services;
• Issues and extends travel documents;
• Registers children who were born abroad to Israeli citizens;
• Handles matters related to the Israel Defence Forces;
• Deals with requests of information from the Population Registry of the State of Israel;
• Deals with request for information from the Israel Police;
• Deals with notices and updates to the Ministry of the Interior;
• Deals with renouncing Israeli citizenship;
• Deals with inquiries about the rights of returning residents;
• Deals with import/export of animals;
• Issues passports;
• Replaces stolen/lost/destroyed passports;
• Issues notifications of birth, change in marital status, selection/change of name.

Israel has visa exemption agreements with many countries - for visits of up to 90 days. Nationals of Norway do not need a visa to visit Israel. It is important to emphasize that the exemption applies only to visas for visits and to passports (not to laissez passer).

Security instructions for people who wish to obtain consular services at the mission offices:

• A photo ID should be brought.
• Every visitor and his belongings will be required to undergo a security check.
• For security purposes, no personal objects will be allowed into the mission, including handbags, mobile phones and electronic devices.
• Large handbags or suitcases should not be brought to the mission.
• Food and/or beverage bottles or containers should not be brought.
• The mission's security directives apply to people in the consular waiting room. The instructions of the security staff must be obeyed at all times.
