The Greek Embassy in Ottawa provides a wide selection of consular services:

The Consular Office handles consular and legal issues. Among the functions of the consular office included family, legal matters such as declaration of birth of children, name, validating the authenticity of signatures and copies of applications such as for inheritance, as well as providing assistance to prisoners Greeks and Greek nationals in emergencies but the intergovernmental providing legal support. Apart from the Consular Office in Ottawa there are three Consulates General in Canada: Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.

In case of a loss or a theft, the holder of the lost passport must report the loss immediately to the nearest police or consular authority. The above authority carries out an investigation (which may last up to 3 months) into the circumstances under which the passport was lost or stolen. During the investigation, a new passport is not issued to the applicant unless it is deemed necessary that the applicant travel abroad to receive medical treatment.

In cases of emergency, provisional travelling documents can be issued by our Consular Missions abroad for the repatriation of Greek citizens.
